On this MLK holiday, I want to repost a biography sermon I wrote to share with Three Rivers Church as our All Saint’s Day celebration sermon.
My love and respect for MLK and his ethic of non-violent resistance through the power of love is powerful, and the practical outworking of that ethic is even more powerful.
So, if you’d like to listen in again, give this a whirl. It’s not a youtube video, as we were only audio recording at the time. But the audio is available.
I hope this will be helpful to you.
Below is the sermon we preached on the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. back on November 18 for our “All Saints Day” biography series.
Because this past year was the 50th year since Dr. King’s murder, we wanted to learn from and honor Dr. King, his life, his work and draw attention to the work that still needs to be done.
I know it’s not a video file, but it is the complete audio of the sermon.
On this special day, it may be worth your time to listen and reflect on all God did through Dr. King and how we can continue on the work for justice and equality in Jesus name.
