At Three Rivers, we love Muslims. We differ greatly with Muslims. We have much in common with Muslims. We do not believe the same things about Jesus. However, in light of all the rhetoric about Islam, America etc., its vital we have an understanding of Islam, Christianity and how to disagree, agree, be civil, be honest and let freedom and the public square play out.
No doubt, we seek to disciple the nations to bring them under the rule of King Jesus peacefully and without underhanded tactics, but failing to love as Jesus told us to and passing on fringe and ignorant understandings of Islam and Muslims does not help.
