I love football. What can I say?
Football is special, unlike that goofy sport where they kick it on a too large field and bore the heck out of you.
I love football. What a day!
Football is special, it makes my day, week, month…
I love football, I must be high!
Football is special, my high is an emotive elation related to football not any other illegal reason, just to be clear.
I love football, chili and beer!
I love football, cool air, a win and a cheer!
The season is upon us at long last!
I’m going to have one heck of a blast!
It’s football time!!!!
Do you like my rhyme?
Let me know what you think of my poem. I’ll write more during the season from the highs of a win and the lows of a loss.
This is sure to make me look bad, but if my folly makes you shake your head and realize you are really normal, laugh or smile, then it will be worth it.
Very “Piper-esqe” in your foray into poetry!
I confess…I read this to Miss Causey and she said (I quote): “He should stick to preaching.” HAHAHAHA!
I love football, the original way.
Not stopping for a commercial after every play.
Where heart, feet, and skill is King,
Not adverts, money or sponsoring.
I love football the beautiful game,
Across the world it has but one name.
Played in every corner of this planet,
No other sport is more popular than it.
I love football it can be played any where,
Just a ball and some friends with out a care.
Every sport can be redeemed to enjoy,
But this is the sport I loved since I was a boy.
American or World it’s not a bad thing,
Thanking Jesus for any joy is humbling.
So for the glory of God football is here to stay,
Be free and enjoy if you love it that way.
